The Digital Visual Studies research group at the University of Zurich is seeking a postdoctoral researcher (1 year, 60-80%) to join our interdisciplinary team working on digital humanities and digital art history, computer vision, and AI art.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

– A Ph.D. in computer vision, or related area

– Experience working on digital art history, digital humanities and/or art history, architectural history, or a related fields.

– Strong communication, writing, organizational and interpersonal skills

– Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-expert audiences

– Interest in engaging diverse scholarly communities with computational methods

Responsibilities

your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a project relevant to the research areas and interests of the group
  • Collaborating in common research projects and collaborations.
  • Mentoring Ph.D students at DVS
  • Contribute to the communication strategy of DVS
  • Authoring papers to disseminate project results to academic conferences and journals

WHAT WE OFFER

A part-time (60%) contract as a postdoctoral researcher, with a generous UZH level salary
